Read this to the Cadet.
Introductory Guide
Welcome to the Department of Corrections. You are now officially a Cadet within our department, and will go through rigorous training to ensure you are appropriately prepared and up for the task. Your Academy, which you are participating in now, will be a crucial step within your training. Whilst undergoing your Academy, please ensure you pay attention at all times- the information we are teaching you is vital in order for you to continue through your training process. If you have any questions throughout the training, please raise your hand and your instructor will answer your question.
As a Department of Corrections staff member, you are trusted with a lot of power in the city. Your job is considered whitelisted, and if you are caught abusing any of the perks that come with this position, such as stealing from the evidence locker, you will be terminated from the Department, and may face action from the City’s Government Team. With that being said, ensure you use your common sense at all times- if it doesn’t seem right to do something, then don’t do it.
As a member of the Department of Corrections, your job is to rehabilitate people back into society after they have committed crimes. You may experience harassment, you may even be physically attacked- however, you must stay professional and level headed at all times. If this is something you don’t think you can handle, then the position may not be for you.
During this training I will take you through a wide range of tools and Information that is used on a day to day basis on DOC. One portion will be about commands. Please DO NOT use these commands whatsoever until i or another trainer tells you to do so.
Lastly, we are NOT Law Enforcement. As DOC, we do not hold any Law Enforcement power. This means we cannot make arrests, we cannot charge people, nor can we enforce the ‘law’ like Police Officers do. Command holds the right to change this outcome as seen fit later down the road.
