# Department Vehicle Operations

  Read this to the Cadet.

Now, you will see 3 vehicles placed in front of you. To your left you will see a Grey Transporter Van that has 9 seats. To your right you will see a black van that DOC has access to but not is used as much with 4 seats. And in the middle you will see a grey Explorer that you have access to with 5 seats. There are more vehicles you can get as you rank up, however during your cadet period you will be using these vehicles.

Cadets will be trained on the proper use of department vehicles. It is critical that all vehicle functions are used responsibly and only when appropriate.

**Controls:**

* Toggle Emergency Lights: Press Q
* Toggle Sirens: Press Left Alt
* Cycle Siren Modes: Press R
  * **Regular**
  * **Yelp**
  * **Priority**
* While sirens are off you may press R for a quick wail siren for passing through intersections<br />

Proper use of lights and sirens is essential for maintaining safety and professionalism.

  Lights:

  * Should only be used when responding to a call or emergency

  * Is not to be used during normal patrol or routing movement

  * Unnecessary use is deemed unprofessional and may result in corrective action.
