# 1.62 - De-escalation Training

  De-Escalation is also a requirement for Phase 1.

  This component is more effective with at least 2 officers.
</Warning>

* During the De-Escalation training, the trainer is to run through multiple scenarios, including hostage scenarios, to assess whether or not a cadet is able to remain calm during high intensity situations, whilst maintaining the safety of all inmates, officers and civilians.
* As the trainer, you are to only step in if required, and after each scenario, do a debrief on what went well, and what could have improved.
* This training is mostly based off the **trainer's discretion**, and has no minimum/maximum duration/number of scenarios.
