# 1.2 - Structure and Authoritive Power

Similar to the department, the Field Training Program division has its own ranking structure. These are the ranks within the division, and demonstrate who you can ask questions to, and who you report to. It is vital that you follow the Chain of Command at ALL TIMES. Failure to abide by Chain of Command can result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

The ranking structure is as follows, starting from the top and going to the bottom.

    FTP Command are in charge of the division, therefore, can make changes as they wish and are the highest point of authoritative power within the division. They can:

    * Make departmental changes,
    * Authorise new applicants, promotions, and demotions within the division,
    * Interview new cadets and grade cadet exams,
    * Anything mentioned below.

  <Step title="**FTP Supervisor**" icon="star" iconType="regular">
    FTP Supervisors are supervisors of the division. They are there to work with command members to ensure the division is running smoothly. They can:

    * Vote on division applications,
    * Complete verbal exam with cadets,
    * Anything mentioned below.

  <Step title="**FTP Senior Trainer**" icon="shield-alt" iconType="regular">
    FTP Senior Trainers are experienced members of the division who have demonstrated strong knowledge, leadership, and training abilities. They assist Supervisors with maintaining the quality of the FTP division and help develop newer Trainers. They can:

    * Mentor and assist FTP Trainers,
    * Observe and provide feedback on training sessions,
    * Conduct advanced training sessions for cadets,
    * Assist with evaluating cadet performance,
    * Help ensure Trainers are following FTP standards and procedures,
    * Recommend Trainers for promotions or additional responsibilities,
    * Assist FTP Supervisors with division activities when requested,
    * Anything mentioned below

  <Step title="**FTP Trainer**" icon="user-circle">
    FTP Trainers are Correctional Officers+ who are trusted and experienced enough to uphold the standard of the department and teach new recruits the ropes whilst they navigate through the department. They can:

    * Ensure the cadets within the department are up to a high standard.

  <Step title="**FTP Recruit**" icon="user-circle-plus">
    FTP Recruits are Correctional Officers+ who have been newly accepted into the division and are currently being trained in order to handle new recruits, and complete daily activities as FTP Personnel. They can:

    * Listen attentively during their training to ensure they grow into a high standard FTP Personnel.
    * Shadow Trainers as they complete their FTP duties.
    * Once authorised, train cadets under the supervision of FTP Supervisors/Command.
